Warren and Violet Aldrich
"Her death came as a shock, even though we know our life on earth is but
a space in time. Soon the tomorrows are all yesterdays." - Violet Aldrich

VIOLET I. ALDRICH was born August 25, 1916, in Goble, Oregon to Vi and Ethel Enis. Violet married Warren F. Aldrich on July 3, 1936. They lived in Vernonia, Oregon where they raised their four children, Wayne, Sharon, Judy and Jo. They spent the majority of their 64 years together in Vernonia until their move to Longview, Washington in 1998.

Violet enjoyed many things: writing stories and poetry, crafting, baking, gardening, family holidays, bowling, square dancing, crocheting, a good joke, sweet stories, singing songs, and traveling with Warren.

As Violet wrote in her story 'Out of The Shadows':

"Father time just gobbles his way through the ages, ever changing and
replacing the products of life. The living must not look back only for
the happiest memories, but keep up with the march into the future."

Violet would often say, "Look what we have started Warren!", referring to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Son Wayne and wife Jeanette Aldrich; daughter Sharon and husband Darrell McKee; daughter Judy and husband Lanny McDonald; daughter Jo Hiler; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren!
